Cara Hale Alter, President - For the past 10 years, Cara has taught workshops in "Projecting Credibility and Confidence" to thousands of individuals and companies throughout the US. A popular instructor at Stanford and UC Berkeley, she has worked professionally as a voice-over actress, and has won national awards for public speaking. Before founding Speechskills, Cara provided executive coaching to individuals from Sun Microsystems, Oracle, Genentech, Macromedia, and Wells Fargo.

Rebecca Stockley, Trainer - As an expert in the innovative field of corporate improv training, Rebecca has inspired creative teamwork at such diverse companies as Pixar Animation Studios, Electronic Arts, and British Petroleum. In 1986, she co-founded the internationally recognized BATS Improv in San Francisco, for which she continues to be an active performer. Rebecca attended the Professional Actor Training Program at the University of Washington, and her book Improvisation Through Theatresports is in its third printing.

Ed Alter, Director of Business Development - Ed comes to Speechskills with over 15 years of experience owning and managing successful companies. As the founder of Serial Number Applications, Inc. (SNAP!), Ed achieved impressive annual growth and profitability until selling SNAP! to Adobe Systems in 2002. Ed also served as Executive Director and main stage performer for BATS Improv between 1994 and 2002. Combined with his degree in Speech Communications, Ed brings a wealth of experience concerning public speaking, performance and business management.

Cort Worthington, Trainer - Cort blends strong business, academic, and real-world experience in his approach to training. He holds an MA in Communication from Stanford, an MBA in Finance from Columbia University, and an MBA in Leadership from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to teaching our Negotiation Skills workshop, Cort is an active facilitator in the Stanford Graduate School of Business course "Interpersonal Dynamics." His corporate client list includes Mobile Oil, Sumitomo Bank, The City of San Francisco, UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and Sun Microsystems.
