You’ve taken a Speechskills workshop and learned what it takes to project a confident, credible image; now it’s time to take your speaking skills to the next level. The focus of this workshop is on practice. You'll have several opportunities at the front of the room to evaluate your progress, reinforce your strengths, and begin developing your “next step” skills.

Agenda

Strengthening Your Basics

The first half of the workshop will focus exclusively on direct feedback and on-camera coaching. We’ll assess your current style and identify which new skills are your highest priorities. You’ll receive real-time individualized coaching to get your new skills moving in the right direction.

Working with Visual Aids

In the second half of the workshop, you’ll practice using your best skills while presenting with PowerPoint. We’ll discuss best practices for creating and interacting with visual aids, and you’ll have the opportunity to practice with 3-4 of your own slides.

What to Expect

This one-day workshop will provide you with:

• Practice
• You’ll have at least 5 on-camera speaking exercises at the front of the room to help you develop new skills and gain confidence.
• Feedback
• What image are you projecting? What’s working and what’s not? You can count on the feedback to be individualized, straightforward, and relevant to your real-world application.
• A New Action Plan
• By the end of the day, you’ll list which new skills are your highest priorities, and we’ll discuss ways to keep your progress moving forward.
• Video Takeaway
• You’ll leave with a CD of your individual exercises, including your coaching and feedback, so that you can review your work on your own.

You’ll walk away with a fresh evaluation of your skills, a new level of confidence, and an action plan for keeping your momentum moving forward.
